I have to admit I forgot about this Blog...

For those of you that know me well, you know my memory is about as good as a goldfish's! I honestly did not remember ever having started a blogspot, and just happen to come across it because I was reading my friend's and saw that I was on her list of "friends that also blog" - HAHA! And now here I am :-)
So, let's see, what's happened since my first post when Obama won the election and took office? A lot. I'm not nearly going to write about all of it because I don't have the time or energy. So here are some of the fun times. First and foremost - Ryan and I got married last September on a beautiful day at Seascape Resort!! The first year of marriage flew by super fast, and likely seemed shorter because Ryan's job had him gone for a majority of the first 8 months of it. We are not pregnant yet, so please don't ask...we get that question often. Maybe by the time we are, I might remember about this blog and write a post. Don't hold your breath though :)
Another fun highlight is that Ryan became an uncle this year!! His brother, Graham, and his wife, Andrea, had an adorable baby boy - Drake Joseph Tribioni Hawkinson! hahaha Just kidding, his name is Luke Thomas Hawkinson! He's perfect and cute in every way. Born in June, he's grown up so fast, and has brought the family so much love and joy!
Other than that, this year has just gone by with a lot of life's normal ups and downs. We have the blessing with being surrounded by our families all within a quick driving vicinity! We have some of the most awesome friends in the world! Just blessed with good health and lots of love. I couldn't ask for more.
So, with that...until next time.

The beginning of new times...

Today President Barack H. Obama was sworn in as the 44th President of the United States, making history in so many ways.  The first African American president and family to be in the White House.  Record numbers in turn out for the Inauguration.  First time interactive CNN.com Live streaming simultaneously with Facebook, so people can chat and update their status as they watch together in one online community.  A change to the last 8 years, a new beginning to make things right, and an overwhelming feeling of hope and pride.  As I watched the Inauguration for the first time ever, emotions swept over me listening to President Obama speak, seeing the millions of people in the mall watching him and cheering his name.  I have never seen that kind of turnout for anything in my life.  Nobody can truly know what the next 4 years will hold, but I'm excited to be a participant and to live through them.

On top of the historic day, I signed up for this fun blogspot business.  I'm not a blogger, but it will be nice to have as our lives move forward.
